POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Operations (DOO) is a member of the senior leadership team responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes. This role will manage and direct all production facility operations, ensure safety and quality standards are met while maintaining production schedules and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The DOO will collaborate with other leaders to develop operational plans in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) compliance: Ensure QHSE compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and lead improvement initiatives. 
  2. Delivery: Responsible for on-time delivery of goods to internal and external customers
  3. Cost: Develop and manage budgets and resources and implement improvement plans to maximize cost
  4. People & culture: Manage staffing requirements, onboard and develop employees. Oversee development plans and performance for all manufacturing staff and foster a culture of efficiency, quality and safety.
  5. Production planning: Responsible for developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demand. Manage supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective performance
  6. Leadership and communication: Lead by example. Promote an environment of clear, open and constructive communication with internal and external stakeholders
  7. Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate performance reporting
  8. Risk management: Identify manufacturing operations risks and develop and implement contingency plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ yrs. experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse leadership
  • Deep understanding of relevant OSHA standards
  • Basic finance and accounting skills
  • Experience managing and implementing lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

SUPPLEMENTAL:
  • Place of Employment is located in Aurora, CO at a newly constructed, climate-controller, warehouse/building with amenities. This position requires the Director of Operations to make themselves available at any given time as requested by Senior Management.
  • Possible travel and on-site work

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
  • Annual Salary (commensurate with experience): $145,000 - $170,000
